Mackenzie Blower
The fan-blades in this blower are supported by a shaft, and caused to revolve by the revolutions of a cylinder contained in the shell. The fan-blades are loosely joined to the shaft and arranged so that they adapt themselves to a continuous alteration of the angle as they pass through the cylinder. Half-rolls in the cylinder act as guides for the fan-blades, allowing them to work smoothly in and out as the cylinder revolves. At each revolution the entire space back of the cylinder between two blades is filled and emptied three times, that being the number of blades contained. See BLOWER.
