Pewterer's Solders

These are of three kinds: the hard and soft pale, and the middling. Hard pale is made from 2 tin and 1 lead; for the soft pale an addition of 1 bismuth is made; and for the middling pale an equal mixture of both. See SOLDERING; SOLDERS.
