Teeming
This term is synonymous with pouring, and is principally employed by steel-melters to signify the act of pouring metal out of the crucible. Pits in which the ingot-moulds are vertically arranged, for better convenience in casting the steel with crucibles, are by them invariably termed teeming-holes. Many moulders also employ this term as the equivalent of pouring.
