JUNIUS BENJA- MIN, an American clergyman; born in Va., Feb. 24, 1843; was graduated at Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, in 1861, and at its theological seminary in 1865; was ordained in the Lutheran Church in 1865; held a in 1865-1874, and in Savannah, Ga., in 1874-1880. In the latter year he was called to St. James' Lutheran Church in New York. His publications include (1874); "Doom Eternal"; "Lutheran " Heavenward" Literature "; "Work and Personality of Luther"; "Six Days of Creation"; "What the the World Owes to Luther" (1917) "Lights on the Shadows of Life" (1919).
