Taylor (City of Texas in Williamson co)

a city of Texas, in Williamson co. It is on the Missouri , Kansas and Texas, and the International and Great Northern railroads. It is the center of an important cotton region, and its industries include live stock, wool, and the manufacture of machine-shop products, flour, cottonseed oil. The rerepair shops of the International and Great Northern Railroad are here. It is watered largely by artesian wells. Pop. (1910) 5,314; (1920) 5,965 .
