Take 6 grains podophyllin (extract of mandrake or may apple), and 48 grains blue pill. - Make into 24 pills. 4913. Podophyllin, Aloes, and Iron Pills. Take 3 grains podophyllin, 15 grains socotrine aloes, 15 grains extract of nux- 15 grains extract of nuxgum-arabic to make into a mass. Divide into taken not to burn the sugar by too much heat, until it is reduced to a fine dust. Then 30 pills. Dose, 1 pill immediately before each more sugar is added, and the swinging and drying continued until a coat of sufficient thickness is obtained.
