Dissolve 1 There has been some difficulty in preparing ounce iodine in 1 pint alcohol. (U. S. Ph.) this liniment as directed in the dispensatory, Tincture of iodine may be readily prepared on account of its coagulating. The following by placing the iodine in a glass funnel, having formula makes a tincture which remains fluid previously filled the neck with broken glass, at all temperatures. Take 4 ounces castile and pouring on the alcohol as it passes soap, 2 ounces camphor, 1/2 ounce oil of rosethrough. To prevent evaporation, cover the funnel with a close-fitting glass top. Spirits of camphor may also be speedily made in this way.
