Land Breeze

Sea Terms

On the coast in the tropics a breeze begins to blow from the shore (land breeze) after sunset, and lasts until sunrise, when a breeze commences to blow from the sea (sea breeze), and lasts until near sunset, being replaced again at that time by the land breeze.
