Also a depot of provisions, stores belonging to the various departments, coal, etc. The navy yards of the United States are situated as follows: Ports-mouth, N. H.; Boston, Mass.; Brooklyn, N.Y.; League Island, Pa.; Norfolk, Va.; Washington, D. C.; Pensacola, Fla.; Mare Island, Cal.
