Search-light

A more or less powerful arc (electric) lamp placed at the focus of concave reflectors, the object of the arrangement being to project the rays of light from the lamp in parallel or nearly parallel lines. The whole is mounted on a suitable stand, that the lamp and reflectors may have motions over this stand in horizontal and vertical planes. The intensity of the light and range of illumination vary greatly.
