Lift
When two parts of a flask are separated the operation is called lifting. Should the separation be a clean one, it is termed a good lift, and a bad lift if much repairing is necessary. When the parting extends much below the joint, it is then a deep lift. See GAGGERS; CHOCKS; PARTING.
