Rigging
"Rigging" and "tackle" are synonymous terms in the foundry, meaning the furnishings or apparatus provided for the construction of moulds. Foundation-plate, rings, plates, beams, slings, bolts, etc., constitute a large proportion of the rigging for loam-work; while the flasks, cheeks, drawback-plates, clamps, bolts, beams, etc., represent the rigging almost always required for any important mould in green or dry sand.
