WILLIAM SOMERSET, author and dramatist; born in 1874. He was educated at King's School, Canter bury, Heidelberg University, and St.
Thomas's Hospital, London. His first publication was "Liza of Lambeth," and this was followed in 1898 by "The Making of a Saint." Other novels include "The Hero," "Mrs. Craddock," "The Magician," and "Of Human Bondage." His plays have been "A Man of Honor," "Lady Frederick," "Jack Straw," "Mrs.
