Take of this and set them on the hearth before the salt, 1½ pounds; scraped horseradish, 1 pound; fire for 2 or 3 days, till they turn yellow; then garlic, 2 cloves; boiling vinegar, 2 gallons; put away the water, and cover them with hot macerate in a covered vessel for 24 hours; vinegar, set them near the fire, and keep them strain, and add of flour of mustard a sufficient hot for 8 or 10 days, till they become green; quantity.
