Waste Gases
The most efficient mode of utilizing the waste heat from puddling and other furnaces is the regenerative-gas furnace, where it is applied to raise both the gas fuel and the air for burning it to a high temperature previous to their meeting at the point of combustion. See REGENERATIVE FURNACE.
