Worm-geared Ladle
A crane-ladle geared with an endless screw and a spiral toothed wheel. The screw or worm being made to turn in a fixing attached to the bail, transmits motion to the axis of the ladle by means of a spiral toothed wheel keyed thereon. See CRANE-LADLES; LADLES.
